Meat Goats

Consumption of chevon, or goat meat is on the rise in the U.S. However, despite the bright future of this animal, fewer goats are being raised in the U.S. while more meat is being imported from foreign countries. This is due, in part, to the fact that goats are not as easy to manage as other meat animals such as cattle. They require secure fencing, a well managed diet, and, perhaps most importantly, ample space to roam and browse.
